At Meals on Wheels of Charlottesville/Albemarle, our mission is to extend a compassionate hand to the most vulnerable individuals in our community. Since 1977, we have been dedicated to providing hot, nutritious meals and essential wellness checks to those who struggle with food accessibility or preparation. With over 400 committed volunteers, we serve over 200 clients in the Charlottesville and Albemarle County areas. We ensure that each meal is tailored to meet the dietary needs of our recipients under the guidance of a registered dietitian. Our services promote health and independence, fostering a sense of connection and belonging, and offering a lifeline of care and community to those in need.
